The Poughkeepsie Library District has announced Thornton Wilder will be this year's Big Read author.  Big Read events are scheduled from October 16th through November 13th.  A complete list of activities and a program description is at http://www.poklib.org/BigRead.htm.
 
More than 50 new eBooks containing literary criticism have been added to JJHS bringing the grand total of literary eBooks to over 900.  Not only do the new titles include information on novels but for nonfiction, poetry, drama, and more.  The new books are available through the library catalog or by using the Literature eBooks widget on the Research Tools page of the library site.  To easily see a complete list, look on the New Items page in the catalog.
